New Delhi: Criticizing the BJP for the transfer orders issued to 5,000 teachers of Delhi government schools, Delhi Minister Gopal Rai on Friday said the party is trying to destroy the education system developed by the Kejriwal government by putting pressure on officials. Still working.

Rai, who is also the convenor of Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi unit, said the BJP's "stop work campaign" to create hurdles in the work of the AAP government has been going on for years and has now reached peak levels.

He said in a press conference on Friday that the education system of Delhi, which is famous not only in the country but in the whole world, is becoming paralysed.

"The BJP has decided to destroy the education system developed by the Kejriwal government in Delhi as part of its 'Stop Work Campaign'," he said.

He said, "The biggest example of this is the overnight mass transfer of teachers of Delhi government schools. Education department officials have issued orders to transfer teachers posted in a school for more than 10 years."

Rai said teachers in government schools are the backbone of Delhi's education system, which has undergone changes after AAP came to power.

A circular was issued by the DoE on June 11, titled "Online Request for Transfer of Teaching Staff of the Directorate of Education", in which, through clause 16, it was directed that all teachers who have worked for more than 10 years Have served for a long time. The school must compulsorily apply for transfer, failing which they will be transferred to any other school by DOE.

Delhi Education Minister Atishi has instructed the Chief Secretary to immediately stop the transfer of teachers.
