"At least 69 people were murdered in South Tripura district alone in 30 years and these people raised their voice and protested against the policies of the then Left and Congress governments," Saha claimed. The Chief Minister said that they (CPI-M led Left party) could not save the life of former health minister Biman Sinha who was killed during the Left regime.
