Patna: BJP on Saturday filed a complaint with the Election Commission alleging that RJD President Lalu Prasad violated the Model Code of Conduct while casting his vote in Patna.

In the complaint, signed by several state BJP functionaries, including legal cell chief SD Sanjay, it was alleged that Prasad entered the booth with a "gamchha" around his neck, which had RJD's election symbol, lantern, printed on it. ,

"It appears that Prasad was trying to influence the voters inside the polling booth. This is clearly in violation of the Representation of the People Act and the Model Code of Conduct," the complaint said.

"It is, therefore, requested that a case be registered against the RJD President, who is also the former Chief Minister of Bihar," it said.
