Thiruvananthapuram, BJP President and Union Minister J P Nadda on Tuesday criticized the Congress and Communist parties and accused them of being "ideologically bankrupt".

and "power-hungry".

Nadda said that communists are also emulating Congress by putting forward their sons and daughters.

Addressing a large gathering of party leaders, workers and supporters in the Kerala capital, he said, "You know what I mean."

The BJP chief, on his first visit to Kerala after the recent Lok Sabha elections, further attacked the Congress and termed it a "parasite" which won seats in the general elections this year thanks to the help and support of regional parties.

"They (Congress) are like parasites. Their own strike rate is bad. They won only two out of over 60 seats where they were directly competing against the BJP," he said.

"It (Congress) is a party walking on crutches and cannot stand on its own feet. They have a national presence thanks to the support of regional parties," Nadda said.

He further said that a narrative was created that BJP is a North Indian party. The BJP chief said, "No. Now we are an all India party, which also includes South India. A lotus has blossomed in the Lok Sabha from the South."

Nadda said the Lok Sabha election results showed that people voted for stability and continuity and hence, the NDA came to power at the Center for the third consecutive time - the first time in 60 years.
