In 2019, when he contested as a Congress candidate from Sam constituency, he had declared assets worth Rs 895 crore.

Vishveshwar Reddy, elected to the Lok Sabha from Chevella on a TRS (now BRS) ticket in 2014, had family assets worth Rs 528 crore.

According to the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission while filing his nomination on Monday, the businessman-engineer declared his movable assets worth Rs 1178.72 crore, which includes shares of Apollo Hospital Enterprises Ltd worth Rs 973.22 crore.

His wife K. Sangeetha Reddy, joint managing director of Apollo Hospitals, owns movable assets worth Rs. Rs 3,203 crore, including shares of Apollo Hospitals.1500.85 crore and shares in Apollo Sindoori Hotels and other listed and unlisted companies. He has gold jewelery and silver items along with diamonds and precious stones worth more than Rs 10.40 crore.

Of his dependent son. Viraj Madhava Reddy has movable assets worth Rs. 107.4 crores.

Interestingly, the extremely wealthy family does not own any vehicle, according to the affidavit.

Vishweshwar Reddy owns real estate worth Rs.Rs 71.35 crore includes agricultural and non-agricultural lands, commercial and residential buildings in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. His wife owns immovable property worth Rs 5.5 crore while the value of such property of his dependent son is Rs 1.27 crore.

The couple has declared liabilities of Rs. 13.82 crores.

According to the 2019 affidavit, Vishveshwar Reddy had movable assets worth Rs 22 crore while his wife's movable assets were worth Rs 613 crore. The movable assets of his dependent son were around Rs 20 crore.

Vishweshwar also owns immovable assets worth Rs 36 crore, while his wife's immovable assets are worth Rs 1.81 crore.

The 64-year-old BJP leader had an income of Rs 4.65 crore during 2022-23 and Rs 18.39 crore during 2021-22.His wife's income during the same period was Rs 12.4 crore and Rs 6.86 crore respectively.

There are four criminal cases against Vishveshwar Reddy. According to the affidavit, charges have been framed in three cases. He has not been convicted in any case.

An engineer and entrepreneur, Vishweshwar Reddy is the grandson of former Deputy Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy and former Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra Justice Konda Madhava Reddy.

Chevalla constituency is in Ranga Reddy district, named after his grandfather.Vishveshwar Reddy is the son-in-law of Apollo Hospitals founder and chairman Prathap C Reddy.

In 2019, he lost the election on Congress ticket to BRS's Ranjith Reddy by a margin of 14,317 votes.
