New Delhi [India] Congress MP Manickam Tagore on Friday criticized the BJP over the NEET issue and claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not prepared to discuss the issue in Parliament as the Minister Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will not attend Parliament.

The opposition continued its strident discourse on alleged irregularities in the NEET exam, with Congress and other parties demanding a debate in the House.

"Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of NEET. Who switched off his microphone?...The BJP's plan is not to discuss the failure of NEET and NTA as an institution. The Education Minister will not come to Parliament. They are not ready to discuss the issue. in parliament... We will continue to raise the issue," Manickam Tagore said.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan said the opposition's intention is to create ruckus in the house.

"In the motion of thanks, each MP has the right to decide which issue they want to raise... The government takes the NEET issue very seriously. What did they (the opposition) get by stopping the chamber's proceedings? Their only The intention is to create a ruckus in the house,” Paswan said.

RJD MP Manoj Jha said the exam should be held again.

"The ministers giving the nod, where are they? What are they doing?... The exam should be held again. NTA should also be abolished," Manoj Jha said.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore alleged that Rahul Gandhi's microphone was switched off when he raised the NEET issue in Parliament.

"Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of NEET. Who switched off his microphone? The BJP's plan is to have no discussion on NEET, the failure of NTA as an institution. The Education Minister will not come to Parliament. They are not ready to discuss in Parliament. We will continue to raise the issue," Tagore said.

Punjab LoP and Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa said the central government is playing with the future of students.

"Paper leaks have never happened on such a large scale. They (the central government) are playing with the future of students... Opposition members are not allowed to speak in parliament," the party leader said. Congress.

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till Monday following opposition protest demanding a debate on the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (BA) (NEET) before discussions on President Droupadi Murmu's speech in the session joint on Thursday.

No business took place in the Lower House as the opposition remained firm in its demand for a debate on NEETs.
