New Delhi [India], July 3: Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), a leading B-School in India, is proud to announce the start of a new academic session (2024-26), which will open its doors to more of 480 young and talented minds. Students are enrolled in the four full-time two-year programs of BIMTECH, PGDM, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Insurance Business Management) and PGDM (Retail Management).
The 37th 'Deeksharambh' ceremony featured Chief Guest Dr. Abhishek Tiwary, Senior Vice President & Global Head of Human Resources (BPS), Tech Mahindra Ltd. and Global Head of Human Resources (Designate), KPMG Delivery Network ( KDN), guest of honor. Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha, AVSM (Retd), Director (Personnel), NEEPCO Ltd., Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director, BIMTECH, and Dr. Pankaj Priya, Dy. Director and Dean-Academic, BIMTECH.
Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director, BIMTECH, introducing the new batch of PGDM with the rich history of the institute, said, “Today is a proud moment for us to witness this ambitious group of diverse students embark on a journey transformational with us. Looking ahead, futuristic jobs/positions will require business leaders who are adept with technology and demonstrate adaptability and creativity. Therefore, we are investing in physical and soft infrastructure. the opportunities a management student has we can dream of Recently, we have revised our curriculum significantly with a large experiential learning component We have signed an MoU with the University of Singapore and are in talks with an EE-based company. "We are in the US to start a blockchain center of excellence, and we are also in talks with Bloomberg to establish a financial laboratory."
Imparting wisdom to the incoming batch of 2024-2026, Dr. Abhishek Tiwary advised the students, "The path ahead is challenging and demanding. Focus on core skills, make friends with data and technology and most importantly , ask quality questions. Get out of your comfort zones and build networks. My message to you is simply to enjoy the process and, before solving the world's problems, enjoy some self-care and be the agents of change. the world needs.
Addressing the newcomers during his graduation address, Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha said, "I am honored to be among the future leaders. Everything is a workplace and each one of you is a leader. Learn to work under pressure and be adaptable. I believe that leaders must be authentic and have a strong character, because authenticity is the cornerstone of a good leader. Don't despair if there is failure. Embrace humility with grace and don't forget the sacrifices. contributions from your parents".
This year's increase in enrollment numbers showed a relatively balanced gender distribution that shows the unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic environment. The new batch includes students from domicile regions, highlighting the national appeal of BIMTECH. The institute was joined by students from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar and Punjab as well as a significant representation from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat and Assam.
The new student body reflects a rich diversity of academic backgrounds with strong representation from different graduation streams. The programs offered by the institute attract aspiring candidates from Commerce, Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, Management and other fields, underscoring the interdisciplinary nature of the institute's offerings.
