Police said that a clash broke out between two communities on Friday in Phulwarisharif area of ​​Patna over a cattle-related dispute.

He said that the incident took place around 2.30 pm after which the police conducted a flag march and detained 28 people.

“The police had seized a truck carrying 38 heads of cattle three-four days ago. They were kept inside a cow shed and the administration was investigating the matter. Today we received information that a minor clash broke out between members of two communities in the area because some people were illegally taking the cattle out of the cowshed.

“We immediately reached the spot and controlled the situation. Around 28 people have been detained in connection with the incident,” SP Abhinav Dhiman told reporters.

Additional forces have been deployed in the area and senior police officers are also present at the spot.

“Police also conducted a flag march in the area as a precautionary measure,” Dhiman said.
