According to Nawada SP Ambrish Rahul, upon receiving the news of the incident, officers from Rajauli police station rushed to the spot and successfully brought the CBI team to the police station.

"On Saturday, the CBI team was in Nawada. They were investigating the UGC-NET case. Then they went to Rajauli area... This raid was kept secret and the Rajauli police were not informed about it. When the raids started , "The people in that area began to interrogate them. Rajauli police were then informed, we sent a team and the CBI team was brought to the station,” Nawada SP said.

Nawada SP said the CBI officials suffered minor injuries when people surrounded their cars.

"The CBI team has not arrested anyone. No one (CBI official) has suffered serious injuries, but some minor injuries occurred when people surrounded his car," he said.

An FIR has been lodged over the incident and no arrests have been made yet.

"We have registered a case and an investigation is underway," the SP added.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday registered a case against unknown persons for compromising the integrity of the UGC NET exam conducted on June 18.

The CBI informed that the case has been registered under Section 120B and 420 of the IPC on the basis of a complaint received from the Secretary, Education Department.
