Patna, BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav lodged a police complaint on Saturday, alleging that RJD supporters attacked his convoy after polling ended in Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency.

Yadav, a second-time MP and former Union Minister, is facing RJD chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti in Patliputra.

Superintendent of Police Bharat Soni said, "Information was received that some unknown people attacked the convoy of Ram Kripal Yadav near Tineri village of Masodhi, Patna at around 7.30 pm on Saturday evening."

“In his complaint, he also claimed that bullets were fired at his convoy. Further investigation is underway,” Soni said.

Officials said that in the seventh and final phase on Saturday, Lok Sabha elections on eight seats of Bihar were largely peaceful and 50.56 percent voting took place.
