Chikkaballapura (Karnataka) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that two more powerful people in India and abroad have joined hands to remove him from power.

Addressing a huge public meeting here, he said, “A large number of mothers and sisters have come here. Your struggle, the challenges you face in raising your family, Modi ji has seen this in his own home. These days, big and powerful people in the country and abroad have united to remove Modi.”

Former minister K Sudhakar is the BJP candidate from Chikkaballapur, while alliance partner JD(S) has fielded M Mallesh Babu from neighboring Kolar.

The Prime Minister said that the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha on Friday went in favor of the NDA and 'Developed India'.

Taking aim at the India Bloc, he said the opposition alliance currently has no leadership, and no vision for the future, and "they had a history of scams."

Elections are being held in two phases in Karnataka. While 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the southern parts of the state will go to polls on April 26, the remaining 1 constituencies in the northern parts will go to polls in the second phase on May 7.
