Lucknow, According to the Election Commission, registering an election victory, Chandrashekhar of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) won the Nagina Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

According to data on the Election Commission website, Chandrashekhar defeated his nearest rival Om Kumar of BJP by a margin of 1,51,473 votes.

Chandrashekhar is also the founder and head of Bhim Army, an organization advocating Dalit rights.

Six candidates were in the fray from Nagina constituency, which is reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates.

Samajwadi Party's Manoj Kumar was also in the fray from Nagina (SC), where voting was held in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state on April 19.
