New Delhi, State-owned engineering firm Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) on Tuesday announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with HIMA Middle East FZE, Dubai for railway signaling business.

HIMA is the world's leading solution provider for safety-related automation in the railway and process industries, it said in a regulatory filing.

According to the filing, BHEL has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with HIMA Middle East FZE, Duba (wholly owned subsidiary of HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH, Germany) for the railway signaling business. BHEL is supplying electrics, propulsion systems, tractio motors, traction alternators, traction transformers etc. for locomotives, EMUs/MEMUs to Indian Railways.

It added that the partnership with HIMA will further enhance BHEL's offering to Indian Railways.
