Kolkata: LaLiga Academy on Saturday inked a pact with city-based Premier Divisie club Bhawanipur FC, promising to bring Spanish flair and technology to grassroots football in West Bengal.

Designed by LaLiga's Global Technical Director with a team of experts from multiple countries, the partnership will also offer on-the-ground analytics to help coaches and scouts.

The team of experts includes Miguel Casa who is the Technical Director of LaLiga Academy Football School India.

"Bhabanipur FC ProIndia will have multiple player development centers in various schools in several districts across West Bengal," said Bhawanipur FC's Srinjoy Bose.

"AIFF scouts can pick up talents from these centers and take them to the Center of Excellence. They will benefit from the LaLiga Academy curriculum as they are trained for AIFF and IFA age-grade tournaments in the AG group from Under-13 to 17 Going," he added.

The co-founder of Bengaluru-based Step Out Analytics said: "Nobody in India has thought of introducing analytics at the grassroots level. This will serve as a powerful catalyst for the growth of football."
