New Delhi, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail and alleged that the AAP chief was not being given the same facilities that are given to even hardened criminals.

Mann, who was accompanied by AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak, said he met Kejriwal for half an hour, but they were separated by a glass wall and held the conversation over a phone call.

"I got emotional seeing him. He is being treated like a hardened criminal. What is his fault? Is it his fault that he created mohalla clinics?" Mann said.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that Kejriwal had asked him to visit various places to campaign for India Bloc candidates. He also said that the Aam Aadmi Party will emerge as a strong political force when the Lok Sabha election results are declared on June 4.

Pathak said that Kejriwal was concerned about the people of Delhi and was constantly asking whether they were getting subsidies.

Pathak said, "Despite being inside the jail, he is worried about the people of Delhi. He said that from next week he will call two ministers to discuss the issues. He has also asked the party MLAs to go among the people.,

A Tihar Jail official said the meeting took place in the 'Mulaqaat Jangala', a room divided by a glass wall.

Given that Mann enjoys Z+ security, security had already been beefed up by deploying local police outside Tiha Jail.

The Delhi Chief Minister and AAP's national convenor were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21. His current judicial custody ends on Monday.

The ED has accused Kejriwal of being involved in the entire conspiracy of the Delhi liquor scam, in drafting and implementing the policy, receiving bribes to benefit brokers and ultimately using part of the proceeds of crime generated from scheduled offences. Is accused of."Election campaign for Goa Assembly elections"
