Since Thursday morning, a team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials, along with cyber and software experts, were conducting a fresh round of raids and search operations at that office. Earlier, similar raids and search operations were conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday also.

Central agency officials are taking the help of cyber and software experts following the direction by a single-judge bench of Justice Rajasekhar Mantha of the Calcutta High Court, which directed the CBI to seek the help of any specialized agency to recover data regarding OMR sheets. Gave advice.

However, CBI officials are tight-lipped on whether the latest raids and search operations have led to any significant recovery in the case.

As per Justice Mantha's direction, the entire cost of the assistance of expert agencies is to be borne by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE).

It is noteworthy that on July 9, the counsel for WBBPE had made an explosive revelation in the bench of Justice Mantha claiming that the OMR sheets used in the written examination in 2017 for recruitment of primary teachers in government schools of West Bengal had been destroyed. Were given. This was done following instructions from Trinamool Congress MLA and former WBBPE president Manik Bhattacharya, the lawyer said.

WBBPE's counsel also told the court that the decision to destroy the OMR sheets was taken by Bhattacharya independently without any resolution adopted by other board members in the matter.
