Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], Siliguri Strikers bowler Akash Deep, who won the award for the best all-round performance, feels that the team was 25 runs behind the par score in the match against Murshidabad Kings in the ongoing Bengal Pro T20 League. Here in Eden Gardens.

In their second match of the league, Siliguri Strikers lost to Murshidabad Kings by seven wickets. Batting first, Siliguri Strikers scored 113/10 in 19.1 overs, but Murshidabad Kings achieved the target in the 18th over.

At one time Siliguri Strikers were struggling at 55/8, but Akash Deep took his team to a good score by scoring 30 runs in 20 balls.

Talking about the match after the loss, Akash Deep said that they could have scored more runs because the pitch at Eden Gardens was good."I think, we fell 25 runs short of the par score. We could have scored more runs because it was a good wicket. If I had stayed till the end, we could have scored more runs and over 130, this was a Could have been a good score on this wicket,” Akash Deep was quoted in a Bengal Pro T20 League release.

The star all-rounder of the match, Akash Deep not only scored 30 runs but also took 3 wickets.

Akash Deep said, “When I went to bat, my aim was to play till the end but in the last two overs I tried to hit some shots and they were good.,

After playing good cricket in the ongoing Bengal Pro T20 League, Siliguri Strikers want to focus on one game at a time. Their next game is against Rar Tigers on Saturday.

"We are focusing on one match at the moment, we are more focused on the next match and we will definitely do well in the game," Akash Deep said.
