Kolkata, West Bengal Governor Dr C V Anand Bose on Monday launched a special program to provide financial assistance to 100 female cancer patients from poor and marginalized sections of the society, an official said.

He said this initiative is part of Bose's 'Mission Karuna' under which the first hundred applicants will get financial assistance in the first phase.

"The Governor launched an initiative to provide financial assistance to 10 female cancer patients who are poor and unable to afford the treatment," the official said.
