A total of 77.53 percent of the 73.37 lakh voters exercised their franchise during the third phase of voting on Tuesday in four Lok Sabha seats in Kolkata, West Bengal. An election official gave this information on Wednesday.

Till 5 pm on May 7, about 74 percent voting was recorded. Revised figures were released on Wednesday.

He said Murshidabad recorded the highest turnout of 81.52 per cent, followed by Maldaha South (76.69 per cent), Maldaha North (76.03 per cent) and Jangipu (75.72 per cent).

A total of 57 candidates are in the fray in the four constituencies.
