Kolkata, West Bengal CID on Sunday began questioning Mohammad Siam Hussain in connection with the agency's probe into the murder of Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar, who was arrested by Nepal Police and extradited to India. A senior officer gave this information.

To assist the CID in locating the body parts of the Bangladeshi politician and the instruments used to commit the crime, Hussain was also taken to the flat in New Town area near Kolkata where Pomegranate was kept, he said. Was last seen on 12 May.

Hussain, a key suspect in the case, was arrested by Nepal Police and extradited to India on Friday.

"We are interrogating Hussain," the CID officer said. He was also taken to the New Town flat and surrounding areas to search for body parts of the Bangladesh MP. He was also involved in locating the murder instruments. Will also help us."

Hussain was brought to West Bengal on Saturday evening and sent to 14-day CID custody by a local court in Barasat in North 24 Parganas district.

Efforts to trace the missing MP, who reportedly reached Kolkata on May 12 for treatment, have been underway after Gopal Biswas, a resident of North Kolkata's Baranagar and an acquaintance of the Bangladeshi politician, lodged a complaint with the local police in May. 18.

On Biswas's arrival, Anar stayed at his residence.

In his complaint, Biswas mentioned that Anar had left his Baranagar residence for a doctor's appointment on the afternoon of May 13 and was expected to be back home for dinner. However, Biswas is forced to lodge a police complaint after Anar goes missing.
