Starting at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom), the bike is powered by a 125-cc engine with the ability to toggle between petrol and compressed natural gas powertrains.

The CNG motorcycle was unveiled by Bajaj Auto MD Rajiv Bajaj in the presence of Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in Pune.

The CNG tank will be placed under the seat and its capacity will be two kilograms. The company claims that it will be paired with a two liter petrol tank and its range will be 330 km.

Bajaj said, “With Bajaj Freedom, riders can reduce their operating costs by up to 50 percent, resulting in significant savings. The longest seat in its class and mono-linked type of suspension provide superior comfort, while the Bluetooth Connectivity adds convenience.”

Bajaj Freedom CNG runs 102 kilometers per kilogram of CNG, which means its range on a full tank of CNG will be around 200 kilometers.

According to the company, the bike generates maximum power of 9.5 PS and peak torque of 9.7 Nm.

In May, Bajaj Auto launched the much-awaited 'Pulsar NS400Z' in the country in four colours, Brooklyn Black, Pearl Metallic White and Pewter Grey, priced at Rs 1,85,000 (ex-showroom).
