Barbados [West Indies], Australia captain Mitchell Marsh gave an update on Mitchell Starc's injury after he walked off the field without completing his over against Oman in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

In the 15th over, Starc was dismissed by Cameron Green after bowling just one ball in his fourth over. The left-arm fast bowler bowled a wide ball and he was seen in pain right after the ball.

The physio came out and gave him treatment on the field and Starc eventually walked off the field. Glenn Maxwell came to bowl the 15th over.

After the game, Marsh provided an update on Starc and said in the post-match presentation, "Starc just had a cramp so didn't want to take any chances. When Starsie says I'm good to go you let her go. ,

Despite Starc's absence, Australia managed to secure a comfortable 39-run win. However, sometimes statistics do not always reveal the truth. Oman had some moments to shine throughout the game. At one point, they owned Australia. After being invited to bat, Australia struggled to get runs on the board. Mehran Khan was on a hat-trick after dismissing Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell on back-to-back balls in the ninth over.

But Marcus Stoinis and David Warner made a partnership of 102 runs to get Australia out of the difficult situation. The bowlers maintained their composure and effectively dealt with the threat from Oman's batsmen.

“Close game,” Marsh said. It's good to win. There will be no 200 type situation in this tournament. We're kind of going into the old T20 style in this tournament."

“(Stoinis) took his time and showed his experience. We are looking forward to playing England. The circumstances here are different. Oman vs Australia was a tough match, which is very good for the game of cricket. The sun is here and we will enjoy it." It's going to be a great game," he said.

After winning by 39 runs in the opening match of their campaign, Australia will now face their arch-rivals England at the Kensington Oval, Barbados on Saturday.
