The arrested person accused of involvement in rhino poaching has been identified as Hanif Ali.
He was arrested from Bharali Chapori area of Sonitpur district on Thursday night.
According to officials, animal body parts including rhino horns were seized from his possession.

"Two other poachers and illegal traders were there, but they managed to escape. Animal remains have also been found along with additional evidence. A search operation has been launched to nab them," Piraisudan said.
According to the official, the Wildlife Welfare Association (WWA) has received the recovered rhino horn to verify its authenticity.
He added: "We are also trying to determine the time and place of the rhino's death and dehorning."
