The one-minute, 56-second trailer takes viewers back to 2013 Mumbai. In this, Vijay plays the role of a policeman and Ashutosh plays the role of a journalist. The series serves as social commentary, exploring a horrific murder mystery and the fragility of Mumbai, while also highlighting the reconciliation of the lost friendship between Peter (Ashutosh) and Jende (Vijay).

Set against the backdrop of a gruesome murder at Mahim station, the series follows Peter as he becomes embroiled in a sinister investigation. The matter escalates further when his own son Sunil becomes a suspect.Amidst this turmoil, Pete and Jende navigate a world of secret desires, blackmail and unspoken love to track down the killer while confronting their own personal prejudices along the way.

Discussing his role, Ashutosh shared: "When it comes to complex roles, I get extremely excited. Peter is one such character. His internal conflict amidst the complexity of the murder investigation made me get into the character. Allowed to add depth. It's not just one character. The intense murder mystery features several important storylines that deal with social stigmas related to caste, gender and sexuality with rare sensitivity. That's the beauty of this show."

Vijay said, "The most attractive aspect of Zende's character is the different shades of his personality. My effort was to bring a human touch to this character, which is evident in the investigation scenes, while also portraying the aggression on the personal front, Especially the family in front of them. So, it was exciting to bring out the emotional arc of my character and bring a whole range of emotions to the screen."

Adapted from the critically acclaimed book by author Jerry Pinto, the Grippin series is directed by Raj Acharya and produced by Tipping Point Films and Jigsaw Pictures. It also stars talented actors Shivani Raghuvanshi and Shivaji Satam in important roles.
