Chennai, Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, in partnership with Hinduja Leyland Finance has extended its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative 'Road to School' program to three districts in Tamil Nadu.

The project seeks to bridge educational disparities among students from rural areas studying in government schools across India and also hopes to promote inclusive education as a means of promoting holistic development and social empowerment.

Overall, it aims to serve more than 1,700 schools and two lakh students in more than six states across the country.

The program will be implemented in primary and middle schools in three districts, Erode (78 schools), Salem (124 schools) and Dharmapuri (150 schools).
