Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) [India], Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu thanked Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama for his congratulatory message following the Bharatiya Janata Party's massive victory in the assembly elections in the state.
CM Khandu said that the "warm words of encouragement" inspire him to work harder for the betterment of the state and the people.
He also wished for the good health and well-being of the Dalai Lama.
"I am extremely fortunate to receive a congratulatory message from His Holiness the @Dalai Lama Ji on the recent landslide victory of @BJP4India in our state assembly elections. His Holiness's warm words of encouragement mean a lot to us and will always inspire us," Khandu wrote on The post said, “We must work hard for the betterment of our state and its beloved people.I am also deeply grateful for His Holiness's blessings and continued guidance.”
He said, “Your teachings on the importance of compassion, peace and inner values resonate deeply with me, encouraging us all to be better human beings. My heartfelt prayers and best wishes to His Holiness for his continued good health and well-being.” " Added.
Dalai Lama congratulated CM Khandu after BJP's landslide victory in the state.
The Dalai Lama said in his message, “Over the past few years, Arunachal Pradesh has made tremendous progress in development and prosperity. I hope that you will also continue to strive to improve the lives of those who are less privileged .,
“I wish you success in meeting the challenges ahead in fulfilling the hopes and needs of the people of Arunachal Pradesh,” he said.
BJP registered a landslide victory by winning 46 out of 60 seats in the Assembly.
In March itself, BJP had won 10 seats unopposed in Arunachal, including the seats of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked the people of Arunachal Pradesh for reposing faith in the Bharatiya Janata Party and said the party will continue to work with even greater vigor for the development of the state.
