Toko Babu, officer on special duty (OSD) of the state Chief Electoral Office (CEO), said polling officials along with election-related material including electronic voting machines (EVMs) were airlifted to remote Pip-located polling stations. Sorang Circle in Kra Dadi district on the border with China.



He said election officials and security personnel were sent in two flights by Mi-172 helicopters with election material.



These officers will be deployed at Tali for some time and then proceed on foot towards Pip-Sorang Circle to reach four polling stations.
-Sorang, Kharsang and Korapu, Babu told the media.He said there is a possibility of more election officials and security personnel being airlifted by helicopters ahead of the first phase of polling day on April 19 as per the requirements of the District Election Officers (DEOs).



Each polling team consists of an average of 10 persons, including one presiding officer, two polling officers, one polling attendant besides security personnel.



The official said more polling parties will march on foot from Wednesday to reach their respective polling stations.



Polling and security officials at 228 polling stations out of total 2,226 polling stations have to go through only foot march as these areas have motorable roads.



Simultaneous elections in two Lok Sabha seats – Arunachal West and Arunachal East parliamentary constituencies.
Voting will be held on 50 assembly seats in the first phase on April 19.Out of total 60 assembly seats in the state, BJP candidates won unopposed on 10 seats including Chief Minister Pema Khandu (Mukto seat) and Deputy Chief Minister Chauna Meen (Chaukham seat).



A total of 8,92,694 voters, including 4,54,256 women, will decide the fate of 14 candidates contesting for 50 assembly seats and 14 candidates contesting for two Lok Sabha seats.



A total of 11,130 polling officers have been deployed to conduct the voting process, while 6,874 EVMs will be used to conduct the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.



The Union Home Ministry has provided 80 companies (7500 personnel) of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to manage law and order in the poll-bound state.



The counting of votes for the assembly elections will take place on June 2, while the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on June 4.
