Haaland has made a great start to the season with nine goals, including two hat-tricks, in four matches. The Norwegian striker has scored 99 goals in 103 appearances for City in all competitions.

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho expressed confidence in his team to deal with the threat from Haaland after starting their campaign with three wins and a draw. The Gunners are behind City in the standings with only two points separating them. The weekend clash will give them a chance to dislodge City from the top spot.

“Erling is scoring again… It's starting to make us laugh. We watch because we watch all the sports and we love the Premier League. We also see (the city), which is normal. It does not reach our brain. "We need to focus on ourselves and that's what we're trying to do," Jorginho said.

The midfielder praised Arsenal's courage to secure a 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur despite the absence of key players such as captain Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice.

"You learn more about each other...Everyone wants to improve and wants the best for the team. When you put the team first I think good things can happen. You Have confidence in what we are doing. I think we are on the right track," he said.

Last season, Arsenal, who finished second, recorded a 1–0 home win and a goalless draw in an away meeting against title holders City.
