Dubai [UAE], Arada has awarded two contracts worth AED1.48 billion for the construction of Sequoia and Saro, the final two phases of the AED9.5 billion woodland megaproject Masar in Sharjah's Sueyoh district.

The company said it had awarded a contract to build 428 homes worth AED650 million in "Sequoia", while a second contract worth AED830 million was awarded to build 597 units in Masar's sixth and final phase, Saro.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said, “We are thrilled to deliver these contracts on time, ensuring that the Masar community is delivered efficiently and at exceptional levels of quality since the launch of the project three years ago. "Our buyers have seen significant increases in the capital appreciation of their homes."

Construction on Sequoia and Saro will begin immediately, with all homes expected to be completed by summer 2026.

These awards bring the number of homes under construction at Masar to 2,570, with 430 homes in the first phase of Masar to be completed in late 2023.

The second and third phases of Masar, Kaya and Robiniya, comprising 986 houses, are due to be completed in the coming months.
