On the instructions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the government decided to make CMRF applications online to ensure transparent utilization of funds.

The Center for Good Governance created an official website for the purpose and the Chief Minister launched the website at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

In view of the diversion of CMRF funds under the previous state government, the Congress government formulated a new policy.

From now on, CMRF applications should be uploaded on the official website, the Chief Minister's Office said.

MLAs and MLCs should also upload their recommendation letters attaching details of CMRF applicants. The applicant should also mention the bank account details in the online application. After uploading the application the applicant will receive a code. Based on the code, the applicant will have to submit the original medical bills to the secretariat. Online applications will also be sent to the respective hospitals for confirmation. Checks will be generated only after the CMRF application is approved and the details are verified and proven correct. The applicant's bank account number will be printed on the check and the new system will prevent misuse of cheques.

After this the public representatives themselves will hand over the checks to the applicants.
