New Delhi: Apollo Tires Ltd on Tuesday said it has received a tax demand for penalty of Rs 2.06 crore from the GST authority in Tamil Nadu over availing input tax credit and other issues.
The Deputy Commissioner (CT) of Tamil Nadu has passed an order under the GST AC demanding levy of GST and consequential penalty of Rs 2.06 crore, Apollo Tire said in a regulatory filing.
It said the matter is a dispute regarding availing ITC and other issues.
"The company will file an appeal before the appellate authority in due course," Apollo Tires said, adding that the issue will not have any impact on its financial, operational or other activities.
