Thane, Maharashtra A fire broke out in an apartment in a residential building in Thane city of Maharashtra and no one was injured in the incident, an official said on Monday.

Civil Disaster Management Cell chief Yasin Tadvi said the fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor of a building in Kalwa's Manisha Nagar area around 8.30 pm on Sunday.

He said that local fire brigade and RDMC team reached the spot and brought the fire under control within half an hour. He said that the cause of the fire is being investigated.
