She is the wife of state education minister and senior YSRCP leader, Botes. Satyanarayan. Lakshmi was a two-time MP from Bobbili and Vizianagaram Lok Sabha constituencies. On Monday, a huge rally of YSRCP supporters started from Visakhapatnam party office and reached the Collector office via Beach Road. He submitted his nomination to election-returning officer Mallikarjuna. Before filing her nomination, Jhansi Lakshmi met Chief Minister YS Jaga Mohan Reddy at Yendada in Vizag city. Her husband and family members were also present with her. Many party leaders were also present during the nomination process. "Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy decided to make Visakhapatnam the administrative capital and asked people about Visakhapatnam. Vote for YSRCP for the development of Visakhapatnam city," Lakshmi told the media. Rajya Sabha MP and YSRCP North Andhra regional coordinator YV Subba Reddy, state education minister Botsa Satyanarayana, former minister M.S.Rinuvasa Rao participated in a rally ahead of his nomination for 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. In the 2019 assembly elections, YSRCP won with a thumping majority of 15 seats, while TDP was reduced to 23 seats. In the Lok Sabha elections, YSRC won only three seats.
