Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Actress Ananya Panday, who is currently busy with her upcoming project 'Call Me Bey', recently gave her fans an exciting update.

The 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan' actress shared a monochrome picture on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, revealing that she has taken over the role of first assistant director (AD) on the sets.

She captioned the photo, "Today I am handling the duties of the first AD on the set."

Talking about her OTT debut, the much-awaited comedy series 'Call Me Bey' will soon stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Last month, Karan Johar shared a fresh poster on his Instagram account and announced that the series will start rolling from September 6.

In the new poster, the 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' actress can be seen wearing a red and white outfit, sitting on a suitcase and staring at the camera.

Along with Ananya Panday as Bela Bai Choudhary, the series also stars actors Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskaan Jaffrey, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur.

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and starring Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra as executive producers, the series stars Ananya Panday in her OTT debut.

Written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair and directed by Colin D'Cunha, Call Me Bey is the story of Bey, who when an heiress turned hustler discovers that her most valuable assets are not her diamonds, but her street smarts. And style. Broken, but refusing to give up, she wanders into a Mumbai newsroom, and finds her boyfriend, her sisters, and herself better.

Apart from 'Call Me Bey', Ananya has other projects in her kitty. The actress is also prepping for her upcoming ventures, 'Control' and 'The Untold Story of C Shankaran Nair'.
