The petitioner alleges that some people are illegally constructing a temple in a public park of Awas Vikas Colony. When the matter was brought to the notice of the executive engineer of the housing development, he sent a junior engineer to the spot, who asked those involved in the construction to stop the work, but the work was not stopped.

After this the Executive Engineer contacted Majhola police station.However, when action was taken, he wrote to the DM but despite this no action has been taken till now.

Therefore, the petitioner filed a petition in the court demanding removal of the illegal construction from the park. During the hearing, the petitioner's lawyer Rajvendra Singh argued that the Uttar Pradesh government had issued an order on 29 October 2009, which banned the construction of temples, churches, mosques, gurudwaras etc. on public roads, parks and streets. . Public place. In this background, he requested the court to intervene and direct the concerned authorities to take appropriate steps.

The petitioner also requested the court to grant him time to make the people involved in the construction work as respondents in the PIL.

After hearing the counsel for the petitioner, the court, in its order dated May 15, said, "A reading of the petition clearly indicates that construction is going on in the park and the Housing and Development Council has called for the police to intervene and stop the illegal construction. Despite the need to stop, apparently nothing has been done by the district administration or the concerned police station.,

The court has fixed July 8 for the next hearing in the case.
