New Delhi, In a precursor to an arduous blue water voyage around the world, an all-women crew from the tri-services has completed a nearly four-week arduous sailing expedition in challenging conditions in the Arabian Sea.

The official said on Thursday that the crew included 12 brave women officers from the Indian Army, Navy and Indian Air Force who traveled to prepare for the World Sailing Competition to be held in September.

He said that the team started the journey under the banner of Army Adventure Wing and Army Aqua Nodal Center of College of Military Engineering.

The voyage, which is a precursor to a more challenging round-the-world circumnavigation, lasted 27 days and tested their patience and skills in some of the most demanding sea conditions, an Army official said.
