New Delhi [India], June 18: Golden Girls Shreya Aneesh and Amrita P. Sadan for winning 2 gold medals at the Expo Culinary -27th edition at an event held at Hyatt Regency, Chennai.

Vice Chancellor of Alagappa University, Hon'ble Prof. G. Ravi felicitated the students of Emirates of Chennai for their remarkable success in three prestigious international culinary competitions: IKA/Pak Olympics in Germany, Emirates Salon Culinaire in UAE and Malaysia Battle Off. cooks

Chennai's Amirta created history by winning the gold medal and made India proud by winning the first gold medal in the 124 year history of the IKA/Pak Olympics held in Stuttgart, Germany.

The students won amid tough competition from professionals from 22 countries, with Amirta from Chennai securing a total of 10 medals including 3 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze. Chennai's Golden Girl Amrita Shreya Aneesh displayed extraordinary talent by winning gold and silver medals in live carving and silver medal in demonstration carving of fruits and vegetables.Following this win, Emirates students from Chennai continued their winning streak at the Expo Culinaire-27th Edition, Emirates International Salon Culinaire-2024- held at Expo Center Sharjah, UAE from 20th to 22nd May, 2024.

Competing against 911 chefs from across the UAE and abroad, the Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG) organized the competition in 39 categories across multiple culinary disciplines and the jury consisted of 23 judges led by Otto Wiebel. The competition, supported by the World Association of Chefs Societies, is one of the largest culinary competitions in the Africa and Middle East region.

Students of Amrita, Chennai won 3 medals including 2 gold and 1 silver. Shreya Aneesh and Amrita P Sadan displayed exceptional skills in live and demonstration carving of fruits and vegetables and earned gold medals for their excellent performance.Malaysia-Battle of the Chefs-2024, supported by World Chefs, has added another feather to its cap as the “Continental Culinary Competition” event held in Penang from June 27 to 29, 2024. Competing in 65 categories despite tough competition from over 1200 local and international chefs, Shreya Anish showcased her talent by winning the bronze medal in Live Carving of Fruits and Vegetables.

These wins underline Chennai's Emirate's commitment to fostering culinary talent and excellence. The institute's committed approach towards culinary education coupled with the dedication and skills of the students has led them to continued success on the global stage.
