New Delhi: An Akasa Air passenger complained that the airline allegedly served expired food packets to passengers on its Gorakhpur-Bengaluru flight on Saturday, following which the airline said it is conducting a detailed investigation into the incident. .

After the passenger lodged a complaint on social media, the airline acknowledged that some passengers were "inadvertently served refreshments that did not meet our quality standards" and expressed regret over the incident.

In a statement on Sunday, the airline said it is aware of and fully acknowledges the concern raised by a passenger regarding pre-packed refreshments aboard flight QP 1883 from Gorakhpur to Bengaluru.

“In the initial investigation, it was found that some passengers were inadvertently served refreshments that did not meet our quality standards.

The airline regretted the inconvenience caused to passengers, saying, "We are in touch with the passenger concerned and are conducting a detailed investigation to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future."
