Ranchi, AJSU party chief Sudesh Mahato on Monday unveiled the party's strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand, stressing its commitment to be in tune with the sentiments of the people in the state.

Mahato highlighted the dissatisfaction prevailing among the people due to the wrong policies and governance practices of the present coalition government in the last four and a half years.

He announced the party's resolve to amplify the voice of all sections of society against the current administration.

He announced that June 22, the party's foundation day, would be observed as 'Sacrifice Day' in all 81 assembly constituencies of Jharkhand. Each segment will have a video presentation highlighting the history of the state and the sacrifices made for its formation.

Mahato outlined the party's roadmap for the elections, which includes padayatras, youth meetings and recognition programs for grassroots party workers.

Regarding electoral alliance, Mahato confirmed that AJSU party will contest the assembly elections in Jharkhand under the NDA banner.

Earlier, in alliance with the BJP, the parties had contested all 14 parliamentary seats, with the BJP fielding candidates in 13 and AJSU in one (Giridih). As a result of this collaboration, BJP got eight seats and AJSU got one seat.

Meanwhile, BJP has also started its preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. BJP national president JP Nadda appointed election in-charges and co-in-charges for Maharashtra, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir as well as Jharkhand.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was appointed election in-charge for Jharkhand, while Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was named co-in-charge.
