New Delhi, Air India on Friday said it will restart flight services between Delhi and Tel Aviv on May 16.

The airline has temporarily suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv amid tensions in the Middle East.

In a post on Twitter, Air India said it would "re-start services between Delhi and Tel Aviv with five weekly flights from May 16, 2024".

On 19 April, the airline said that Tel Aviv flights would remain suspended until 30 April. The suspension was later extended till May 15.

After nearly five months, the Tata Group-owned carrier began service to the Israeli city on March 3.

Tension remains in the Middle East due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
