New Delhi [India], All India Institute of Ayurveda today celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY) with a series of events at multiple locations including Kendriya Vidyalaya-NTPC campus, Supreme Court of India and Goa campus of AIIA. , These events witnessed active participation of dignitaries, faculty members, students and yoga lovers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the national ceremony at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC) in Srinagar, emphasizing the importance of yoga in nurturing physical, mental and spiritual development.

On the 10th International Yoga Day 2024, AIIA's AYUSH Wellness Center at the Supreme Court organized a Common Yoga Protocol session. The event was attended by the Chief Justice of India, senior judges, Directors of AIIA, senior faculty members and its scholars.

Chief Justice of India, Justice Dhananjay Y Chandrachud highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting healthy lifestyle and spiritual enlightenment. "We celebrate International Yoga Day enthusiastically like any other Indian festival. Celebrating Yoga Day highlights our commitment towards our nation. It gives the message of leading an ideal life with a healthy lifestyle. Yoga is not only a part of exercise. It is but also a journey towards spiritual enlightenment,” he said.

He also talked about the 4S of Yoga which are 'Siddhant' which means principles, 'Samanvay' meaning coordination, 'Sadbhavana' meaning goodwill and 'Sakshakikaran' which means empowerment.'
