New Delhi [India], The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Wednesday approved the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) policy of the AIFF, which will be implemented with immediate effect. The important decision was taken by the AIFF Executive Committee after deep deliberation and caution. The AIFF POSH Policy, which is based on the POSH Act 2013, aims to ensure a safe and inclusive environment within the football community. It has been carefully drafted and scrutinized by the AIFF legal team to adhere to high standards of compliance and efficacy. “There was a great need for a POSH policy specifically for AIFF employees. We have taken the policies as per the POSH Act and drafted it.” 2013 and also in the policies of some other organizations and incorporated them in our policy," AIFF acting general secretary M Satyanarayana said in a release. "Our POSH policy has been designed in such a way that as we move forward, It can be changed and adapted. Along with this, we also plan to call an expert on PoSH policy to remind our employees, this is especially necessary for our junior and women teams about the PoSH policy for all stakeholders at various positions. It is necessary to be fully aware of the matter,” he said, adding that AIFF is dedicated to upholding the principles of fairness, integrity, equality.
