New Delhi, Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja was on Tuesday sent back to his cadre state Odisha, where he is likely to be appointed as the next Chief Secretary.
Ahuja is a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Odisha cadre.
An order issued by the Personnel Ministry said, "The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the reverting of Shri Manoj Ahuja, IAS (OR:90), Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, to his parent cadre, on the request of the Government of Odisha. Has given." Said.
An official said that Ahuja may be appointed the next Chief Secretary of Odisha.
The extended tenure of outgoing Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena is till June 30.
