Kolkata: The agitating junior doctors have announced that they will partially lift their 'work bandh' from Saturday and partially join their duties in emergency and essential services in government hospitals as the West Bengal government accepted most of their demands. Have done it.

Doctors, who have been on 'work strike' for the last 41 days following the rape and murder of a woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, announced that they will lift their strike outside Swasthya Bhawan on Friday.

Before lifting the dharna, they will march from the state health department headquarters, Swasthya Bhawan, to the CBI office at CGO Complex in the Salt Lake area.

An agitating doctor said, "It has been decided that due to the flood situation in West Bengal and the state government agreeing to some of our demands, we will partially engage in emergency and essential services from Saturday. The protesting doctors said they will not work in the out-patient department (OPD) but will work partially in emergency and essential services.

"After the march to the CBI office we will withdraw our protest outside Swasthya Bhavan on Friday.
