New Delhi, Sportswear and athleisure solutions platform Agilitas Sports on Friday said it has acquired the brand license of Italian sports brand Lotte from owner WHP Global for India and other markets for a period of 40 years.

Through a long-term license, Agilitas has the exclusive rights to design, manufacture, promote and distribute the Lotto brand in India, Australia and soon South Africa, the company said in a statement.

I said Lotto became the first brand in its consumer business portfolio.

“Through this 40-year license agreement, we will create and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing, cutting-edge technology and design innovation for Lotto's product development, in addition to marketing and retailing the brand.” Sports co-founder and CEO Abhishek Ganguly said.He said Agilitas will invest in a dedicated management team to grow Lotto Bran through channels of product formulation, design innovation, supply chain, branding, marketing and distribution.

“Our design and development team in Bengaluru brings together rich experience across established global brands, enabling us to create relevant products that resonate with Indian consumers. We aim to create a faster product manufacturing cycle and supply chain that Vertically integrated from manufacturing to retail,” Ganguly said.

On the partnership with Agilitas Sports, Stanley Silverstein, Global Chief Commercial Office, WHP, said, “Their dedicated focus on the sportswear industry, coupled with their deep belief in the promising future of India, as well as other markets such as Australia and South Africa, is in line with our core ."Mission to grow th Lotto brand globally."

Agilitas Sports said it plans to launch the Lotto brand in early 2025 with a multi-category offering across footwear, apparel, accessories and sports equipment.

Mochico, which was recently acquired by Agilitas, has set up a dedicated factory in Noida to manufacture Lotto brand products.

Agilitas said it will distribute Lotto products through D2C online channels exclusive brand outlets, shop-in-shops with retail partners and online marketplaces from the first year of launch.
