The United States along with the West Indies are co-hosting the T20 showpiece which begins on June 1 (June 2 as per Indian Standard Time).

In the third T20I on Saturday, fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman's extraordinary figures of 6-1 helped him restrict USA to 109/9 in 20 overs. Tanjid Hasan's unbeaten half-century (58*) along with opener Soumya Sarkar's unbeaten 43 runs in 28 balls helped the visiting team win by 10 wickets in 11.4 overs.

"The boys showed a lot of character and everyone executed their plans. It's very disappointing to lose the series, to be honest we didn't play well. But performing well today will help us ahead of the World Cup. We know the conditions and We are looking forward to how it will be,” Santo said in the post-match presentation.

Mustafizur was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series for taking 10 wickets in three matches. The left-arm fast bowler said his variations yielded results in the series. "I am very happy with the way I bowled. Tried a lot of variations and mixed it up. It feels really good to win the award," he said.

Bangladesh will now face the US and India in two warm-up matches before taking on Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup opener on June 7 (June 8 IST).
