Noida: With the Model Code of Conduct imposed for two months for the Lok Sabha elections being lifted, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on Friday intensified repair and maintenance activities in various sectors and villages.

According to an official statement, the authority has issued tenders worth about Rs 60 crore for road, sewer, water and lighting works, with plans to complete the tender process and start work within a month.

The Election Commission on Thursday removed the Model Code of Conduct which came into effect on March 16 in view of the Lok Sabha elections. Greater Noida, which is part of Gautam Buddh Nagar, went to polls on April 26.

"GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar has directed to expedite the development and maintenance work in the sectors and villages of Greater Noida," the statement said.The project, water, sewer and electrical engineering departments have issued tenders for 36 projects worth about Rs 60 crore.

According to the Water and Sewer Department, Rs 6.46 crore will be spent on laying the line from MPS Sector 1 to 20 MLD STP at Ecotech III and Rs 4.91 crore will be spent on operation and maintenance of 15 MLD STP at Ecotech II.

About Rs 20 crore will be spent on maintenance of the sewer system in sectors and villages within Zone I and III, the statement said.

Zone I includes Sectors 1, 2, 3, 4, 16, 16B, 16C, Techzone IV and VII, Ecotech 12, 14, 15 and villages like Tigri, Shahberi, Haibatpur, Itehra, Chhoti Milak, Chipiyana Buzurg, Chipiyana Khurd. . , Richpal Garhi, Milak Lachhi, Patwari and Bisrakh.Zone III includes Ecotech II, KP I-IV, Alpha I-II, Beta I-II, Gamma I-II, Delta I-III, Zeta I-II, Eta I-II and villages including Gurjapur, Surajpur, Malkpur . Mubarakpur, Begumpur, Lakhnawali, Tugalpur, Haldauna, Namoli, Rohillapur and Rampur Jagir.

Additional works include construction of road, drain, rain water harvesting and guard room in Ganga Jal Complex of Sector Pai I, construction of boundary wall around OHT in Ecotech I Extension, and construction of boundary wall around OHT in Sector KP-5, 1, 3, 4, 12A Includes similar infrastructure projects. , Ecotec 15, and Mu II, it said.

The Department of Electrical Engineering has issued tenders for electrification of community buildings in Sectors Gamma I-II, Delta I-II and Beta I-II.There are also plans to install lights in the cremation ground in Malakpur, marriage hall in Bodaki, community centre, primary and upper primary schools, playgrounds, cremation grounds and cemeteries. According to the statement, LED high mast lighting will be installed in the Surajpur court complex.

Other lighting related works will be done in many other villages.

The project department has issued tenders for construction works worth about Rs 5.38 crore including wedding procession in Sadopur, cremation ground in Bhanauta and patch repair of roads.
