Thane police on Tuesday registered an FIR against 52 people, including 21 women, for alleged violation of rules and obscenity at a bar in Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai township, an official said.

The Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the police raided the restaurant-cum-bar located in Vashi APMC market on Monday night.

They found several people there doing obscene acts and violating various norms, said an APMC police station official.

Based on the complaint by an AHTC team member, the police registered an FIR under sections 294 (obscenity) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code against 52 people, including 21 women, 11 waiters, the manager of the restaurant and nine customers. The officer said, Maharashtra Police Act.
