Two things make this election special for PM Modi. First, he is calling for the biggest ever victory for the BJP in the electoral history of the country. The party is not only eyeing the target of 'crossing 400' but is also hoping to register its biggest win in Varanasi compared to the 2014 and 2019 elections.

The second aspect is that PM Modi is contesting elections for the first time without the blessings of his mother Hiraben.

After filing nomination papers on Tuesday, PM Modi shared a touching video to pay tribute to his mother's eternal love. The 5-minute long video shows the impact mother Hiraben had on PM Modi's life and how her selfless service towards the poor and needy shaped Narendra Modi's beliefs and thought process in his childhood. While sharing the video from his personal handle, PM Modi wrote, "There is nothing like a mother."

The video clip showcases the strong affection and bond between the two and also highlights some of the valuable lessons their mother taught them.

When Narendra Modi went to meet his mother after becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat, his clear message was, "I don't understand your work, but I will never take bribe in my life."

“Kaam karo buddhi se, jeevan jeevo shuddhi se” (put your mind to your work and try to live a pure life) was another of his mantras for success.

PM Modi has often spoken on various platforms about how his mother's life was full of struggle and how despite all odds, she continued her selfless service to the society. His dedicated community service greatly helped shape his thoughts and helped promote a community-centric approach in his later years.

The video also tells viewers about some of his mother's underlying beliefs. Sri used to say, "I have full faith in God, whatever He does is for good."

It is noteworthy that this is the first election when PM Modi's mother is not with him.

A few days ago, a video of PM Modi remembering his relationship with his mother Hirabe also went viral, in which he had said that he is going to the elections for the first time without his mother's blessings."This is the first time I will file nomination without touching my mother's feet," the emotional Prime Minister had said in a TV interview.
