The Election Commission had asked the Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police to file charges against the SP.

It also ordered a departmental inquiry against SP, SDPO Ravindernath Reddy and CI Raja Reddy.

The police chief has been asked to inform the Election Commission about the action taken against the three officers.

The poll panel took serious note of Saturday's incident, where actor Allu Arzoo visited Nandyal without obtaining permission from the concerned authorities.

A large number of fans of the actor gathered to see him. Despite the imposition of Section 144, the police failed to control the crowd.

Police on Saturday registered a case against Allu Arjun and Nandyal MLA and YSR Congress candidate Silpa Ravi.

The "Pushpa" fame actor visited the house of the MLA and his friend to extend support in the elections to be held on May 13.

Someone complained to the Election Commission, following which the police swung into action and registered a case under Indian Penal Code section 188 (disobedience to order issued by a public servant).

On the last day of election campaign, Allu Arjun visited the MLA's house to show his support. As soon as information about his visit was received, a large number of his fans gathered outside the MLA's house to see him. The actor appeared on the balcony along with the MLA and his family members and waved to the huge crowd gathered outside.

Silpa Ravi, whose real name is Singareddy Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, is seeking re-election as a candidate of the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in the elections to be held on March 13.

Allu Arjun thanked the people of Nandyal for welcoming Yudh in a social media post. He also thanked Silpa Ravi for the hospitality. "Wishing you all the best for the elections and beyond. You have my unwavering love and support," H posted on Instagram.
